Greek Inflatable Boat Racing Championship 2013

Engineering Under Pressure

In May 2013, the opening round of the Greek Inflatable Boat Racing Championship took place in Rhodes. The offshore segment of the race was expected to be especially challenging, with winds reaching 6 Beaufort and significant wave height. Our boats held the lead throughout most of the race, but the brutal conditions took their toll: the team of H. Botzolakis lost 2nd place in the final stretch due to a broken engine cover, while V. Serra and his crew finished in 4th place, just seconds behind third.

In the Circuit race the following day, Olympic RIBs made a bold comeback. The teams of Botzolakis and Serra claimed 1st and 2nd place, showcasing the boats’ ability to deliver speed, balance, and precision in tight turns and flat-water sprint conditions.

Our momentum continued into the second round in Chania, where both races brought impressive results. In the Circuit race — marked by unexpected incidents and several DNFs — the Olympic crews of Botzolakis and Loulourgas once again captured 1st and 2nd place. The very next day, in the offshore leg, Loulourgas and Serra repeated the success, claiming 1st and 2nd again under true offshore conditions.

These back-to-back victories confirmed what we had designed for: a hull that could respond sharply at high speed in calm waters, but also endure and perform in rough offshore seas — always adapting to the style and technique of each driver.

For us, this wasn’t just about race results. It was a clear validation of our development philosophy: that every Olympic RIB must be tested to the limit — structurally, mechanically, and hydrodynamically — before it becomes a boat you can own.

No matter the experience you seek at sea, our boats are engineered to meet it. With speed, safety, and proven performance — race after race.
